EB pain care clinical practice guideline now available

We are delighted to report that the EB pain care clinical practice guideline has been published and is available on the websites of EB-CLINET and DEBRA International.

This guideline is relevant for all forms of EB and for all clinicians and families who care for people with EB. Among other topics, it deals with pain relating to wounds, bathing and dressing changes, operative procedures, issues of the gastrointestinal tract and corneal abrasions. It also addresses the topics of itch and pain care in infants.

This guideline is the fruition of many years of hard work by the development team, led by Dr. Kenneth Goldschneider at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and it has been developed and reported to a very high level.

It was commissioned by DEBRA International and kindly funded by DEBRA of America.
