Medical professionals

Receiving the best care, based on current evidence and expert opinion, can dramatically improve both quality of life and life expectancy for EB patients. This section of the website is intended as a resource for all medical professionals, to improve their knowledge and to keep them up to date with developments.

Patients, and those who care for them, might also find much of interest in this section (useful information and links specifically on the management of EB for patients or carers can be found in the patients section).

A central focus of this area is the best clinical practice guidelines. These are a range of guidelines to support clinical decision making in a range of care disciplines. They are currently in preparation and it is our intention to make them available on the website as soon as they are complete.

On the professional training page we list up-coming training opportunities relating to the clinical care of EB. We encourage anyone organising a training event to make us aware of the details, so that we can post it here. We can be contacted using this form.

You will also find here information on EB-CLINET, the network of EB care centres and experts across Europe.
