MEET THE TEAM

Valentina is the Scientific Coordinator and a Board Member of DEBRA Italia. She is the mother of a five-year-old daughter living with Recessive Dystrophic EB (RDEB).

With a PhD in Cell Biology and a background in rare disease research, she brings scientific knowledge and personal insight to her advocacy work. She has collaborated closely with clinicians, researchers, and families to promote multidisciplinary care and evidence-based policies for EB.

Valentina joined DEBRA Italia to give a voice to patients and help improve quality of life for those living with the disease.

Her work is deeply rooted in both personal experience and professional commitment. She believes strongly in the mission of DEBRA International and the power of collective action to drive progress.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking cakes.
