GlobalSkin Marks 10th Anniversary with International Conference in Prague

GlobalSkin, a leading international patient advocacy organization for people living with skin diseases, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025 with a major global conference. The celebration was nothing short of extraordinary, with a powerful and unifying theme: “Champion.” This year’s theme aimed to inspire, connect, and celebrate the global Community of Champions—patients, advocates, healthcare professionals, and organizations who work tirelessly to improve the lives of those affected by dermatological conditions.

The event took place from April 24 to 27, 2025, in Prague, Czech Republic. Over 300 participants representing numerous countries and patient advocacy organizations came together for a dynamic three-day conference filled with knowledge-sharing, networking, and celebration.

Ignacia Fuentes, representing DEBRA Chile, attended on behalf of DEBRA International. She was joined by several other DEBRA representatives, including Ritu (Singapore), Leandro (Brazil), Vlasta (Croatia), and Saida (Malaysia), among others. The DEBRA network played an active role in the event, sharing experiences and perspectives on supporting people living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

Members of the DEBRA International Youth Council also participated, helping to raise awareness about EB and contributing to conversations on how to engage and empower younger advocates.

The GlobalSkin conference provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration and learning. It highlighted the ongoing efforts of patient advocates worldwide and reinforced the importance of working together to support people affected by skin conditions.
