BUR-EB Project Launches Multilingual Educational Resources on EB

The BUR-EB project has published a new collection of educational materials on Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), designed to support patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and the wider EB community. The resources are now available in seven languages, Spanish, English, Italian, French, Hungarian, Bulgarian, and German, and have been created in collaboration with people affected by EB and EB experts.

Between May 2023 and December 2024, workshops and focus groups were organised with the support of DEBRA Spain, DEBRA Italy, and DEBRA Germany, ensuring that the experiences and priorities of the EB community remained central throughout the resources.

The themes and topics included in the materials were prioritised in collaboration with DEBRA International and professionals from several DEBRA organisations to ensure the resources respond to the most relevant needs of the global EB community.

The educational package includes a wide range of formats to support different learning preferences and accessibility needs, including:

  • Infographics

  • Podcasts

  • Videocasts

  • Interactive workbooks

By releasing these materials in multiple languages, the BUR-EB project aims to improve understanding of EB, and reduce barriers to accessing trustworthy information.

All materials are publicly available, downloadable, and free to share.
