DEBRA Spain Hosts its First EB National Nurses Conference

On 19th-20th of February, DEBRA Spain held its first ever EB Nurses Conference, bringing together more than 80 healthcare professionals from across Spain. The event created a dedicated space to learn, exchange best practices and reinforce the essential role of specialist nurses in EB care.

Over two days, 11 expert speakers and seven DEBRA team health se professionals shared knowledge on clinical procedures, innovative care strategies and holistic approaches that are already improving patients’ quality of life. A three-hour practical wound care workshop gave participants hands-on training to strengthen daily clinical practice.

The conference closed with the powerful testimonies of three EB patients and family members, reminding everyone that caring for the most fragile skin requires not only expertise, but also deep commitment and kindness.

The training took place at the Yusuf & Farida Hamied Center, headquarters of the Cudeca Institute for Palliative Care Studies and Research, with the valued support of the Yusuf & Farida Hamied Foundation.
