It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Lisa Brains, born with recessive dystrophic EB from Melbourne, Australia passed away recently.
Lisa volunteered her time and experience with 8 clinical practice guidelines, 5 of which have been published and 3 are still in development. She also supported the development of the occupational therapy and foot care patient versions. The panels and everyone at DEBRA International express their gratitude for her devotion and participation in the development of these important resources. She has left an amazing legacy to the international EB Community.
Lisa was loved and respected for all she did to raise EB awareness and taught us about living with EB. She is a great loss to her family and the EB community. She will be missed.
